Year round fun in your own back yard. We have had this amazing swim spa for the past 5 years and not a week went by that we didnt use it. It was the neighborhood swim club weather it was snowing or 100 degrees out. Well we decided to upgrade to I ground pool so we decided to sell. We kept the cover and heat off in the summer and it added about 30 bucks to the electric bill. In the winter months it will add just over a 100 bucks but we used it all the time and kept it at 104. This is a Vintage Jacuzzi Portable Spa, 1950′s Whirlpool J300-B Hydrotherapy Bath Pump. Note that it does not turn on until it is at least halfway submersed in water which is how all of them work– it has a float switch and will not run when dry to prevent overheating or damage to the pump. Turning the top of the air intake snorkle controls the air flow, which creates bubbles or a longer stream depending on your choice. The fins at the bottom control the direction of the stream of water by rotating to the right or left (this can be done with your foot or hand). The chrome handle controls the power of the stream – turning it counter-clockwise gives you a more powerful stream. This pump is in good cosmetic condition overall. The chrome has some slight marring, and there may be a few small scuffs or dings. The chrome is dented where the electrical cord enters the top. The cord is in nice condition.
