It is for a hot springs spa, but will work on others. I replaced my old heater because the tub was heating up slowly. The new heater made zero difference in heating time. My problem came down to the circulation pump, and now i have this extra heater that is guaranteed to work. Note, i would also trade it for a new circulation pump for the same spa (hotsprings sovereign).
This heater comes with the paperwork and kit, with new parts.
