It takes about 1-2 days for the water to initially heat up once filled. The water flows through an aluminum coil wrapped around the motor which is used to cool the motor. It serves a double purpose to jet the tub and cool the motor at the same time. This makes the Softub extremely efficient by design by not needing a separate heat pump.
