When using this Electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the followings. READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS. DANGER To reduce the risks of injury, do not permit children to use this unit unless they are closely supervised at all times. Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual. Never drop or insert any object into any opening. The unit must be connected only to a supply circuit that is protected by a Ground-Fault Circuit-interrupter (GFCI). Such a GFCI should be provided by the installer and should be tested on a routine basis. To test the GFCI, push the test button. The GFCI should interrupt power. Push the reset button. Power should be restored. If the GFCI fails to operate in this manner, there is a ground current following, indicating the possibility of an electric shock. Do not use this unit. Disconnect the unit and have the problem corrected by a qualified service representative before using. For permanently connected units, to reduce the risk of electric shock, you must use a green or a green/yellow colored wire as part of the power supply cord, and connect this wire to the grounding terminal of your electric service or supply panel with a conductor which is at least equivalent in size to the circuit conductors supplying this equipment For units provided with a plug, use the provided 3 wire connect to the relative ground terminal. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS These instructions must be provided to the user after installation. SAFETY FIRST-To reduce the risk of injury. The water in a tub or pool should not exceed 40? (140?). Water temperature above 40? Is not considered to be safe for all persons. Lower water temperatures are recommended for extended use (exceeding 10-15 minutes) and for young children. WARNING Do not fill in water warmer than 40? . This is a hazard and may cause the heater’s reset button to trip which can only be reset manually. Prolonged immersions in warm water may induce hyperthermia. The causes, symptoms, and effects of hyperthermia may be described as follows. Hyperthermia occurs when the internal temperature of the body reaches level several degrees above the normal body temperature of 37? (98.6?). The symptoms of hyperthermia include an increase in the intimae temperature of the body, dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness and fainting. The effects of hyperthermia include. Failure to perceive heat. Failure to recognize the need to exit the spa or tub. Unawareness of incoming hazard. Fetal damage in pregnant women. Physical inability to exit the spa or tub. Unconsciousness resulting in the danger of drowning. WARNING-The use of alcohol, drugs, or medication can greatly increase the risk of fatal hyperthermia. Since excessive water temperatures have a high potential for causing fetal damage during the early months of pregnancy, pregnant or possibly pregnant-women should seek the advice of a physician before using any appliance equipped with a heater. Alcohol, drugs or medication should not be used before or during tub use since their use may lead to unconsciousness with the possibility of drowning. Persons suffering from obesity or with a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory system problems or diabetes should consult a physician before using the hot tub. WARNING-Risk of Electrical Shock Do not permit any electrical appliances (such as a light, telephone, hairdryer, radio or television) within 1.5 meters (5 feet) of the appliance. The heater must not be used in brine, acid or alkali lye, or any other environment with chemical caustic gas or liquid. INITIAL TESTING OF THE TEMPERATURE SETTING. Heaters are equipped with high-temperature protector to protect the user against the hazards of excessive heat including hyperthermia. However, the user should check the proper functioning of the heater after installation, before the first use to ensure a safe operation. Check by filling the tub to the appropriate level and turn the system on. Let the system run with the heater on until the temperature stabilizes at the maximum level and the heating-up indicator light goes off. Measure the water temperature with an accurate thermometer. Water temperature should be 40? (140?). However, since the water temperature regulating devices may have a tolerance, your measured temperature may be slightly lower or higher than the preset 40? (140?) level. If the variance is more than ± 3? (± 5?), contact your supplier for remedy. The operation of the Heater is fully automatic. When installed properly it will turn ON after user have set the temperature by turning the controlling switch clockwise, then the heating-up indicator turns on. As long as the heater is on, it will heat up the water to the user-set level and maintain the temperature. User can turn the controlling switch anticlockwise to a temperature lower than the current water temperature to turn OFF the heater, and the heating-up indicator turns off. There is no separate heater controller for user. The 230V3kW or 230V2kW Heater is designed to efficiently maintain the water temperature of a standard bathtub at the preset level of 40? (104?). However, if starting with cold water, the Heater will increase the temperature at a rate of 6 to 8? (11 to 14?) per hour, depending on the initial water temperature, the room temperature, and the size of the bathtub. Once turned ON the Heater stays ON until the temperature reaches the preset temperature, and then it will turn OFF automatically. It will stay OFF until the temperature drops a few degrees below the preset value, then it will turn back ON. The heater continues this ON/OFF cycle for as long as the pump is ON. The indicating lamp is located marks HEATER place. HIGH TEMPERATURE PROTECTION/RESET BUTTON. In addition to the regulating thermostat, the Heater is equipped with a manual reset High Temperature Protector to protect the user against the hazards of high temperatures. In the event of water or the heater enclosure reaching temperatures of higher than 49? (120?) because of blockage or other reasons, the High Temperature Protector will trip(interrupt power) immediately. In order to reset, let the water cool down to approximately 38? (100?), then simply push the RESET BUTTON on the top panel. The heater should resume operation in the normal manner. The Heater is equipped with a pressure-sensing switch that protects the heater against the hazard of running the system without water. If the water level is low at the beginning or drops low during the operation water pressure is lower than 20kPa (about 2000mmHO2) the pressure sensing switch will interrupt power. Heater can only come ON when the water is at the appropriate level (water pressure is above 20kPa) and the water pump is running. IMPORTANT: NO Water shut-off or check valves should be installed in piping from the outlet of the heater to the tub. WARNING Under no circumstances should any of the outlet (side) Ports be closed. Water must flow through both ports when the heater is on. Inlet of heater must be installed perfectly matching to the outlet of water pump to give maximum water flow. Try to ensure that a minimum length of piping is maintained between the heater and any opening to the tub. Take off the joint on the outlet/inlet of the heater. Glue one side of the joint to the pipe tightly first, then hand tighten the other side to the outlet/inlet of the heater. After the installation of the water pump, heater and fitting system, a complete draining must take place, no water is allowed. WARNING When using electrical products basic precautions should always be followed, including the following. 1 All electrical connections must be performed by a qualified electrician in compliance with all applicable national and local codes. 2 DANGER RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Connect only to a circuit protected by a Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter (GFCI). 3 CAUTION To prevent the risk of electrocution, check heater for proper ground connection. The heater must be properly grounded with a conductor equal to or greater than the power supply conductors. 4 CAUTION Before making any electrical connection or during installation and service make certain that the electrical power is turned off at the source or circuit breaker and take measures that it CANNOT accidentally be turned on again. Provides the suitable power line according to the Heater. Connect the provided 230V, 3 wires with grounding branch circuit to a suitable junction box near the heater. The power supply should be 230V50/60Hz. The blue wire should be connected to L terminal, orange wire should be connected to N terminal and the yellow and green wire should be connected to the ground terminal.
